P.A.S.S. LOCATED AT FOREST HIGH SCHOOL AND RUNS FROM 8:30 AM TO 3:00 PM FOR GRADES 6-12 AND TBA FOR GRADES K-5.
- PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE THE HOURS ONLY FOR P.A.S.S. AT FHS; OTHER SITES' HOURS MAY VARY.
PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATION:
YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN REFERRED TO THE P.A.S.S. PROGRAM (POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE TO SCHOOL SUSPENSION) BASED ON A DISCIPLINARY INFRACTION. THE PURPOSE OF THE P.A.S.S. PROGRAM IS TO MINIMIZE THE ACADEMIC DETRIMENT OF OUT-OF-SCHOOL SUSPENSION BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL SERVICES IN AN ALTERNATIVE LOCATION. SUPERVISED BY A CERTIFIED TEACHER, STUDENTS RECEIVE HELP WITH ASSIGNMENTS, AS WELL AS SOCIAL AND LIFE SKILLS COACHING. PARTICIPATING P.A.S.S. STUDENTS DO NOT LOSE TIME OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL NOR FALL BEHIND IN THEIR CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THEIR ASSIGNMENTS WHILE IN THIS PROGRAM AND/OR HAVE UP TO THE AMOUNT OF DAYS SPENT IN THE PROGRAM TO MAKE UP ASSIGNMENTS AT FULL CREDIT.
- PARENTS/STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUBMITTING WORK AT THE END OF THEIR TIME IN THE PROGRAM. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST BE ESCORTED TO THE P.A.S.S. SITE BY PARENT
- STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE AT THE P.A.S.S. PROGRAM ON TIME (REFER TO TIMES FOR EACH SITE ABOVE). PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TRANSPORTATION. STUDENTS MUST BE DROPPED OFF AND PICKED UP BY THEIR PARENT/GUARDIANON TIME OR WILL FORFEIT THEIR P.A.S.S. PROGRAM DAYS.
- NO ADMITTANCE 30 MINUTES AFTER START TIME UNLESS ARRANGED AHEAD OF TIME. ABSENCE WITHOUT INFORMING PASS SITE MAY FORFEIT REMAINDER OF STAY.
- STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE SCHOOLWORK AND COMPLY WITH THE CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT. ANY BEHAVIORAL INFRACTION, INCLUDING MISUSE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES OR WORK REFUSAL MAY RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE PROGRAM AT ANY TIME.
EXPECTATIONS:
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW THE RULES OF P.A.S.S. AND THE DIRECTION OF THE TEACHER THAT IS PRESENT.
PLEASE REMEMBER; P.A.S.S. IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO KEEP CURRENT WITH YOUR ACADEMICS IN A SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT AND IS A PRIVILEGE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF THIS PRIVILEGE AND MAY RESULT IN FURTHER OR MODIFIED CONSEQUENCES (AT THE DISCRETION OF THE STUDENT’S BASE SCHOOL).
